Dear Sir:
I am writing this letter on behalf of the Paramedic Class of 2001 at Bassett Health Care in Cooperstown, New York.

During our short careers as EMS providers, we have all seen our fair share of teen deaths in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA's). We would like nothing more than to reduce that number as low as possible, zero would be nice.

We are all in agreement that alcohol, unsafe driving practices, not wearing seatbelts, not driving defensively are the main contributing factors in most of these MVA's. In addition, most teens are inexperienced and do not know the roads they are driving on as well as they think they do and try to go way too fast on them, resulting in injury and deaths.

You have our support 100% in your effort to reduce these unfortunate deaths. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to contact us at
