It gives me great satisfaction to offer my support to the I Promise Program.

As a Registered Nurse for nearly 24 years and a Child Passenger Safety Technician for 2 years, I have a strong interest in any program which can help to reduce the injuries and fatalities associated with automobile crashes. Too often, those crashes involve teen drivers, either as the person causing the crash or the person unable to avoid a crash caused by another.

While no program will completely eliminate these tragic occurrences, the I Promise Program seems to be a giant step in the right direction. It will take all of us in the healthcare, insurance, safety, and automobile industries, working in partnership with the parents of teen drivers to maximize the safety of teens behind the wheel.
