Re: I Promise Program

As per our conversation of today, I find the concept of your contract and telephone number to be very helpful in teaching young students correct driving habits. This sounds like another step in making students be accountable for their actions, both with their parents and to the public in general.

I fully support the concept of your program, as we need any tool we can get to improve safety on our highways.
My only concern with the program is the additional cost parents would incur in supporting such a program. Parents are asked continually to support programs, and although this would be cost effective if it would save one traffic accident, I still feel some parents would resent paying for such a contract.

Overall, I feel the program has a lot of merit, and I would truly be interested if the program can be supported by outside interests.
